There are 12 branches of the National Museum in Kraków. Each one is different and absolutely worth visiting !
Let’s start with 4 of them which offer a great mixture of Krakow’s art and history and tell the story of Krakow’s most eminent characters.
THE SUKIENNICE GALLERY– is home to one of the largest permanent exhibitions of 19th century Polish painting & sculpture in Poland.
THE PRINCES CZARTORYSKI MUSEUM – the permanent exhibition displays one of the most valuable art collection in Poland which includes paintings, sculptures and crafts . One of the exhibit is a painting by Leonardo da Vinci “ Lady with an Ermine”
THE MATEJKO HOUSE– is a biographical museum of Jan Matejko, who was one of the greatest Polish painter known for paintings of notable historical Polish political and military events.
THE MEHOFFER HOUSE– is not only a biographical museum of one of the leading artists of the Young Poland movement Józef Mehoffer but as well a museum of interiors & art.
